Sosy Problems: A GMA Films Metro Manila FilmFest 2012 Entry
On December 25, the country's hottest "it" girls Heart Evangelista, Solenn Heussaff, Bianca King and Rhian Ramos come together for Sosy Problems, the glossiest entry of GMA Films to this year's Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).
Four girls, rich and famous, may have the most expensive pairs of shoes, high-end designer bags and the life that every girl wanted - but behind the glitz and glamour are the struggles and differences that they have to face.
In the story, Sosy girls' tambayan, The Polo Club, is in danger of being torn down. The new owners of the exclusive club want to build a "yaya mall" - which for the girls is not at all a Sosy plan.
Meet the Sosy girls.
The spoiled-rich daughter of a hotelier and self-appointed leader of the Sosy group, Lizzie (Rhian Ramos), proposes a planking protest to stop the bulldozers from rolling. But she gets in trouble and as a way to get back to the good graces of their family's matriarch; she has to do one thing - to live with her poor relatives. Having the luxuries and comfortable life that she has, will she be able to survive the living conditions in the province?
Then there's Danielle (Bianca King), the daughter of an ex-politician who's in the process of impeachment wherein all their assets were frozen. She is still in denial that they now are not part of Manila's richest. Until when will she be able to cover up their financial struggle? What if she meets the guy who will love her for who she is, will she be courageous enough to accept her real status or will she stick to her plan of looking for a rich guy who can save them from financial difficulties?
Completing the Sosy Girls are frenemies Margaux (Solenn Heussaff) and Claudia (Heart Evangelista), daughters of former beauty queens who have had a long standing unfriendly competition. What if they found out that each of them is running after the same man, Benjo (Aljur Abrenica), an all-around employee at the Polo Club? Will their friendship end just because of a guy? Will someone be brave enough to give up love for the friendship?
Can our Sosy girls patch over their differences to save their friendship and the much-loved tambayan? Will they ever realize that their friends, family and loved-ones are more important than the riches and luxuries in the world?
Adding glamour to the movie are Kapuso hunks Aljur Abrenica as Benjo, Mikael Daez as Santi, Alden Richards as Iñigo, classy character actress Cherie Gil as Martina, Mylene Dizon as Bernice, Mikey Bustos as Denmark, Tim Yap as Jamie Yap, Agot Isidro as Glory, Maritoni Fernandez as Dada, Johnny Revilla as Gabriel, Ricky Davao as Sebastian, Nova Villa as Lola Patria, Barbie Forteza as Becca, Kristoffer Martin as Israel with the special participation of Ruffa Gutierrez as Luca.
The geniuses behind the fabulous creations and designer pieces that the girls are wearing are Preview Fashion Editor Daryl Chang and stylist Andrei Chang. As the Sosy girls put it, "They are not just fashion editors. They're artists who can translate the emotions and personalities into the clothes."
Under the helm of Director Andoy Ranay and with Marlon Rivera as the script consultant, Sosy Problems is the official entry of GMA Films to the Metro Manila Film Festival 2012.

TEEN GEN A New Youth Oriented TV Show From The Kapuso Channel 7
After several months of its intensive
search for the next batch of TV sensations, GMA Network finally comes up
with the coveted list of promising faces that will banner the
upcoming youth-oriented series, TEEN GEN.
Fresh from winning in Protégé, Jeric Gonzales
and Thea Tolentino land their first project in the Kapuso
Station as they lead the promising cast of Teen Gen. They will portray the
roles of Tiago and Angge in the series, respectively.
On being part of the much anticipated project, Jeric
shares "Ito na ang umpisa ng aking mga pangarap kaya excited ako
sa project na ito. Nakaka-pressure kaya kailangan naming
galingan at patunayan na karapat-dapat kami for the show"
Meanwhile, Thea expresses her gratitude as she embarks
on her first project. "Sobrang happy ko po. God
has been so good to me and I will give all my best sa Teen
Gen."
Also, TEEN GEN brings back the kilig
tandem of Bobby Andrews and Angelu de Leon as they once again
breathe to life to the characters from the phenomenal T.G.I.S series Wacks and
Peachy.
Completing the cast of TEEN GEN are - Juancho
Trivino as Lucho, Dianne Hernandez as Lyca, Abel Estanislao as
JV, Gianna Revilla as Madison, Seth Isay as Itos, Sunyee
Maluche as Drew, Gab de Leon as Jeff and Arkin Magalona as
Mackenzie.
TEEN GEN is under the helm of film and TV director Mark
Reyes, the man behind the very successful youth series in the 90's
produced by GMA and Viva, T.G.I.S., together with Kit Villanueva - Langit as
creative consultant/headwriter.
Direk Mark looks back to the happy memories of
creating the unparalleled youth program which also launched the careers of
today's respected actors in the industry.
As he puts it, "18 years ago, I was given the
opportunity to create a youth oriented show for a Saturday afternoon which had
a non-existent audience market. With the courage of ignorance, we broke the
norms of Philippine TV by doing a light drama-comedy, which was unheard of in
the traditional soap dominated 1990's. We got an inspiration from the
fast rising MTV channel in terms of visual treatment and fashion styles. Our 1st
season was shaky. T.G.I.S. was branded too "bourgeois" or too upper
class for the masa market. But come the 2nd season, it
skyrocketed to the TV phenomenon that it was, prompting the rival network to
copy our format after a year. Now, with much excitement and bravado from
experience, the original director and writer bring back T.G.I.S as TEEN GEN.
Expect a new generation of young stars and T.G.I.S. alumni Bobby and Angelu to
bring back youthful family entertainment for both young and not so young who
are now parents to teenagers."
Witness the highs and lows of teenage life as TEEN
GEN premieres on December 16 after Party Pilipinas on GMA.
